Hypnobirthing

You may have heard of Hypnobirthing through friends and family, or even celebrities via social media. Possibly you are already aware of the profoundly empowering and calming effects of Hypnobirthing on mothers and babies, or perhaps you are dubious about how having a comfortable and enjoyable birth is possible, when it is so often portrayed in a more negative light.   It may be that you have had a traumatic birth experience previously that casts an anxious shadow on your current pregnancy journey.

Inner Calm Hypnobirthing offers a complete antenatal course, which provides a safe space for mothers and their birth partners to ask questions without judgement.  This encourages you to feel empowered rather than feel pressured.  When completing a hypnobirthing course with me, I will equip you with the tools to help you feel confident, relaxed and ready to navigate your way through the birth of your baby calmly. You will learn about the importance of creating the right environment for yourself during the pregnancy and the birth, whilst enabling you to take the time to listen to your mind and trust your body.  Alongside this I will educate you on recognising and releasing any fears surrounding the birth, due to the immense impact this has on stress and muscle tension, which in turn can lead to discomfort and pain.

What will I learn?

  • Specific deep breathing techniques, mindfulness and deep relaxation hypnobirthing techniques.  Whilst completing these you may feel completely in control, calm and relaxed simultaneously.  Through repeated practice, you will strengthen the rewards of hypnobirthing, whilst those feelings of anxiousness and fear around birthing and its unknowns, melt away.

  • Comforting massage techniques which can be used during the pregnancy and labour, for relaxation and to aid focus and connection between yourself, your birthing partner and your baby.

  • The importance of having a supportive birthing partner, whilst giving them direction to be your powerful protector and the confidence to understand pregnancy and birthing.  A guide to their role during the birth is also key to hypnobirthing.

  • The physiological processes and associated hormones involved in late stage pregnancy and birth, to aid understanding of what is happening to your body, and the associated sensations.

  • How the mind and body work together

  • How to make informed decisions which are right for you and your baby.

  • How to remain calm, focused and in control if unexpected turns occur during pregnancy and labour

InnerCalm hypnobirthing forms a complete antenatal course, which gives mothers and their birth partners confidence to ask the questions they would like answers to, and to ask for time to make decisions, empowering them, rather than feeling pressured in to situations which may not feel the right thing for them.
